40-girl's guide to health

Brand new YouTube Series! I hit everything from losing weight, to root canals, to vitamin reccos, to building a healthy pantry - just what a woman needs to know about building health, from someone who lives & learns it.

No need to be 40 to loves this series - it's for all women. 40+ just happens to be my age and means I've had a few years to experience with fixing less-than-stellar eating/health habits. I'm also slowly headed into that mysterious "life change" time (nooooooo) where things get real interesting. Lots more on that as I get there!

food fight: parents vs. kids

We parents know that what WE want our kids to eat, versus what THEY want to eat, is a daily battle. One we often lose. But it doesn't need to be that way. Hence my new series: Food Fight: Parents vs. Kids! Eat it & Like it.

Each week I highlight a popular/conventional "kids" food, tell you why it's a "no go" (or rare go), and offer a healthy/delicious alternative recipe. Plum full of tips to convince kids that healthy equals yummy, not to mention stronger body (& immunity) and a happy head!

certifiably organic - diaries of an eco-mom

This fresh new web-series follows 40-something do-it-all mom, Shannon, as she trips and topples in an effort to make the planet, and her kitchen, a better place. Shannon’s biggest problem? Convincing friends and neighbours that Halloween is a national tragedy & that raw quinoa-crust pizza tastes better than deep-dish. Her 2nd biggest problem? Being the change she wishes to see, as she bungs on chocolate chips and Real Housewives.

True to her creed—stand for something, fall for nothing—this girl stands, falls and gets up again. Whether on a soap-box at a girls’ lunch, chasing down an eco-offender outside Starbucks, or diving into her next nutrition venture—it’s mostly sideways for the well-intentioned mother of two exuberant boys. Full of hilarity and hypocrisy, this web-series catches the plight of today’s modern mom, where all signs lead to keeping up with the Joneses, versus saving the planet. With her loyal, celiac (GF before it was cool!) husband there to keep her in check, and a cast of friends, frenemies and co-venture types, this makes for one juicy and relevant series. *This series temporarily on hold.
